Welcome to Kilkenny Primary School

A Government funded school for the Department of Education & Children's Services providing quality education for Reception to Year 7 children.

Kilkenny Primary SchoolKilkenny Primary School's commitment is to continually improve quality teaching and learning. Our aim is to provide relevant, meaningful and challenging curriculum and develop and maintain healthy relationships, inquiry-based learning and a high standard of teaching. Kilkenny Primary is a multicultural school with more than 60 per cent of students from LOTE (languages other than English) backgrounds, including Italian, Greek, Serbian, Aboriginal, Vietnamese and Sudanese.

The school offers a specialist language program in Italian and mother tongue maintenance programs in Italian, Greek and Serbian.

The school has strong links with the community and positive parental involvement in the many aspects of school life.

To support parents the school offers a child-parent centre and an out of school hours care facility. The school encourages community-wide commitment to environmental education and boasts a hectare of natural bushland for school use.
